Master Armando Bertozzi re-presents the Etno Afro method
along with the new Etno Brasil Method, after the great
success in 2011.

The clinic will be free of charge and will be held at the
Central HQ GM drum School in Turin on Sunday, May 27
2012 at 3 p.m.

In traditional African music there are great riches
harmonics, the many alternatives to the
practicable compared to the four-voice system (soprano / high /
(tenor/low) typical of Christian innography. such systematic
omission may be surprising to those who
consider the role of music to be fundamental and indispensable
Africa, so they would be careful to find a deal
within the description of African societies.
By knowing these languages in depth, it is possible
even recognize lyrics by listening to the melody of the
instruments that give rise to the "talking drum" effect.

The Master says:
"I built and developed the Etno Brasil method with the battery
from the study of the most used percussion in popular music
Brazilian as: the Surdo, Ago-go, Tamborim, Chocaio, Repique,

Caixa, Pandeiro, Pratos, Apito.
The method encompasses the main original Brazilian rhythms, structuring its composition into two elements: Song and Structure.
In turn, BRANo is composed of multiple rhythmic cells:
FRASE: further divided into three cells (intro – recall
Final)
TEMA: Consisting of a sequence of notes
RITMo: composed of overlapping rhythms, sequence of
division and merger. The set of these three elements creates polyrhythmia.
To use the method, you can proceed according to this
Schema:
1) Play each cell individually
2) Play different cells sequentially
3) Play the "rhythm" as a base, the "theme" as a fill or the
"rhythm" as the basis, the "theme" as fill.
4) At the end you can perform a melodic solo by playing the
"Frasi" and the "themes" of all songs.
5) The attached CD offers as a guide some complete tracks consisting of thetheme, rhythm and phrase as well as the minus one tracks for
being able to practice polyrhythmic execution."

The Ethno Brasil Method allows you to apply the rhythmsystem
from the Brazilian tradition to the creation of
polyrhythmic tracks that can be performed by combining up to six
Batteries. A true Etno Brasil orchestra that can be traced back to
Brazilian rhythmic tradition in its beauty and variety.
